By registering with DOGS Basketball Academy (“DOGS”), parents/guardians and participants agree to the following terms, policies and expectations.
Our program is built on the DOGS STANDARD: DISCIPLINE, OWNERSHIP, GROWTH AND STANDARDS

Participation in DOGS is a privilege, not a right. We receive the right to remove any player or family who consistently violates program standards.

All players are expected to:
Show respect to coaches, teammates, referees, opponents, and facilities
Arrive on time and prepared for practices, games, clinics, and events
Compete with effort, focus, and coach-ability
Accept coaching, corrections, and role assignments
Represent DOGS with class on and off the court
Take ownership of attitude, effort, and behavior
No bullying, fighting (unless defending yourself), excessive trash talking or unsportsmanlike conduct
Disciplinary actions may include:
Reduced playing time
Removal from practice or events
Suspension or dismissal from program (no refund)
parent/guardian expectations
Parents and guardians agree to:
Support the DOGS Standard and coaching staff
Maintain respectful behavior towards coaches, referees, players, and other families
Refrain from coaching from the stands
Address concerns privately and respectfully with staff, not during games or practices
Ensure players arrive on time, ready, and properly equipped
Uphold positive sideline behavior at all times
Understand that playing time is earned, not guaranteed
Unacceptable behavior includes:
Arguing with coaches, refs, or staff
Public criticism of players, coaches, or the program
Disruptive or aggressive behavior at any DOGS event
DOGS reserves the right to:
Remove a parent from event
suspend or remove a player due to parent conduct
Terminate participation with no refund for repeated or serious violations

All DOGS coaches are expected to:
Coach with integrity, professionalism, and consistency
Treat all players with respect and fairness
Prioritize development, safety and accountability
Communicate clearly with players and parents
Uphold the DOGS STANDARD in behavior and leadership
Create a positive, disciplined, competitive environment
Never use abusive, demeaning, or inappropriate language or behavior
Coaches represent DOGS Basketball Academy at all time and are held to a higher standard of leadership and conduct.

Playing time is not guaranteed
Roles and minutes are based on
Effort
Attendance
Attitude
Coach-ability
Team needs
Performance in practice and games
Players are expected to:
Compete for their role
Support teammates
Accept coaching decisions professionally
attendance & commitment
Regular attendance is expected at all practices, games, clinics, and events
Excessive unexcused absences may result in:
Reduced playing time
Loss of roster spot
Removal from the program
Families are responsible for communicating schedule conflicts in advance
fees, PAYMENTS & refund policy
All fees must be paid according to the agreed schedule
Fees cover training, coaching, facilities, events, and administrative cost
NO REFUNDS FOR
Missed practices or games
Dismissal due to conduct
Voluntary Withdrawal
Partial refunds may only be considered in cases of season ending injury or extraordinary circumstances, this is at DOGS discretion

By participating in DOGS Basketball Academy, you grant permission for:
Photos and videos of players to be used for:
Website
Social media
Promotional materials
Recruiting and marketing content
If you wish to opt out, you must submit a written request.
liability & assumption of risk
Basketball is a physical sport and carries inherent risk of injury.
By participating, parents/guardians acknowledge:
They assume all risk associated with participation
DOGS Basketball Academy, its coaches, staff and partners are not liable for injuries, accidents, or lost property except where required by law
code of conduct enforcement
DOGS reserves the right to:
Discipline players, parents or staff
Suspend or remove participants
Deny future participation
Enforce these standards to protect the culture, safety, and integrity of the program
